It took a while but we're finally back on track. Major changes to the site include

A new name (Shades of Blue) to reflect the spirit of the site - same web address though!
A "colour redesign" to reflect the new theme
New Discussion Boards, Guestbook, NewsWire and Desert Island, all reflecting the new theme and hopefully gelling together a little better than before. They also give the Primer a little more control against those naughty spammers, who appear to be getting ever more prevalent.
Also tried to tidy up the terrible grammar and typos wherever they were spotted, but I'm sure they weren't all picked up - let us know if you spot some 
Also updated the Primer recommendations (especially in the biographies section) so at least at the time of writing everything recommended is still in print!

Congratulations - looks very good. I know you've get the same basic design but I like the colour theme. I'll shortly hit the desert island and add an entry (it'll be my second so I guess that's kind of cheating)

Hopefully the shop will be back in the next couple of weeks - depends how much time I can give it while pesky little things like earning a crust continue get in the way

What an excellent site - can't comment on any comparison becos I've just surfed in here. But great to see a site devoted to some of my heroes - particularly like the labels section and feel there's a lot more you could add to this - how about the great Specialty label for a start........

Been visiting this site on and off for years - this is the best incarnation yet.
Would like to see more reviews if possible, especially current blues CDs. Love to read about the history and the greats, but as the site says, the blues is still alive and well and still kicking ass!!
