TENBY BLUES FESTIVAL, 9TH-11TH NOVEMBER 2007

Headlining the Tenby Blues Festival on the second night of a packed three day programme will be American blues sensation Alvin Youngblood Hart and his Muscle Theory Band, on one of only two Welsh dates of their Winter European tour.

The line-up for the second Tenby Blues Festival has just been announced and the organisers are convinced that they are able to build on the successes of last year and make a significant contribution to the UK blues scene. Joining Alvin in Tenby over the weekend of 9th-11th November 2007 will be a host of international and UK blues artists that includes a strong Welsh contingent.

Once again the main venue will be the large De Valence Pavilion featuring keynote concerts on the Friday and Saturday evenings. Saturday is Alvin’s night which promises to be a full on rocking evening shot through with his renowned eclecticism whilst Friday’s headliner is another international star, Otis Grand, who will be leading his Big Blues Band and the Oh Gee Horns through a set laced with hipster boogie and classic ‘50s shuffle rhythms.

The second venue, a few yards along Tenby’s bustling Frog Street, will be the Rugby Club, home to the FBM Acoustic Stage on all three days for evening and lunchtime concerts, featuring acts such as American steel guitar expert Michael Roach and the superb musicianship of Irishman Will Kileen.

Other acts scheduled to appear include Ray Minhinnet and the RayBand, The Oli Brown Band, The Spikedrivers, The Sean Webster Band, Bridget and The Big Girls Blues, and Ted Crook and The Blues Highway plus many, many more.

Check out the website – http://www.tenbyblues.co.uk - for full performance information and ticket prices (which are much lower than last year) plus details of the accommodation packages (from luxury hotels to budget camping deals, there’s something for everyone). You’ll also discover what else is going on throughout the weekend in this delightful west Wales seaside town, including food offers, workshops, talks and the marvellous programme of FREE pub gigs that has been carefully programmed so blues fans can spend the whole weekend doing what they love – enjoying the blues in all its wonderful forms!

Enjoy!
