BLUES FESTIVAL
11th
12th 13th November 2011
British Blues Awards - BEST FESTIVAL runner up. Last years festival was one of the final 6 nominations for the prestigious award that was announced on September 11th. An incredible achievement for the relatively new event - it was only the forth time the festival had been held.'...we take two days up by train, and a more leisurely trip back, to attend an event which has grown to become a prestigious landmark event in the Blues calendar. Hard work and dedicated devotion from Nick and his team, friendly and hospitable hotel staff catering for our special needs make this lovely little festival a real pleasure to attend. Little in actual dimensions, maybe, but certainly not in terms of musical magic' - RC
This superb festival, with all the music under one roof, has built its reputation on the high quality of its line up. For the 5th anniversary 2011 promises to be the best yet, probably the best in the country this year. The list of top class names appearing is almost endless: Earl Thomas USA with Paddy Milner, Eugene Hideaway Bridges USA, Larry Miller, King King, Jim Suhler & Monkey Beat USA, Paul Lamb & the King Snakes, Gregg Wright USA, The Revolutionaires, 24 Pesos, Marcus Malone, The Deadstring Brothers USA, Patrick Sweany USA, Gary Fletcher Band, Dale Storr Band, Robin Bibi, Chris James, Al Hughes. Last year sold out and many who expected to buy tickets on the door were sadly disappointed. Tickets are going fast now that the summer has fizzled out so to be sure of a great weekend before the winter truly sets in, don't delay, get your tickets now.
